Ubeda
In Úbeda the splendour of the Renaissance is relived in its traditions and fiestas. Beginning in January a group of restaurants and taverns prepares specialty menus based on the typical cuisine of the Renaissance. This fiesta blends with those of La Cruz when the historic city centre is covered with crosses giving the streets a distinctive and picturesque character. The essence of Ubeda is the period market visit the workshops of craftsmen listen to music and try the sixteenth and seventeenth century dishes. This festive schedule is completed with the exciting San Miguel fiestas or with the impressive Ancient Music Festival, which is shared with Baeza, another city of many monuments.
