Santa Elena
People always pass through without stopping.
With some heights more than a thousand metres above sea level,
it is necessary to hike all its trails to get to know this park.
Along the way you will see groves of live oak mixed with cork
oak, gall oak and carrasco pine. Under these larger trees there
is Mediterranean undergrowth of strawberry trees, myrtle and evergreen
pistachio, forming a thick screen in which dwell wolves, lynx,
martens, deer and boar. If you lodge in the camping ground you
will be offered that chance to practice horseback tourism and
will be told the indispensable itineraries for getting to know
the park. You are also recommended to visit the Puerta de Andalucía
Visitor Centre where you will discover nature through computer
games, interpretive panels, three dimensional movies…
