The largest Archaeological Museum in Andalusia is set in an exceptional
site, the Renaissance Palace of Páez, by Hernán
Ruiz 16C. It contains works coming from the town and the whole
province.

Julio Romero de Torres museum

The birthplace of the painter Julio Romero de Torres (1880-1930),
who had a penchant for dark skinned women, brings together an
interesting collection of all his work.

Jewelry´s Museum Regina

The Museum of Regina Jewelry has been conceived like a space in
which the visitors of the city can ontemplate the process of manufacture
of one of the main economic and historical resources of the city.
Museum of Fine Art
Plaza del Potro 1 - Córdoba

Set up in the old 15C Charity hospital, its staircase has preserved
some 16C and 17C frescoes. It has principally Spanish artists
from the 14C to the 20C.

Diocesan Fine Art Museum

It´s installed in the Episcopal palace built in the 17C
on the ruin of the Arab alcazar. You will notice the patio and
the Baroque double flighted staircase in black marble topped by
a dome decorated with stucco.
Municipal Bullfighting Museum
Plaza de Maimónides - Córdoba

Set up in a 16C house the Casa de las Bulas. The Museum´s
rooms bring together engravings of bullfights, posters for the
Feria, costumes and documents of the great Cordovan bullfighters
such as Lagartijo, Guerrita, Machaquito and Manolete.

Museo vivo de Al-Ándalus

This audiovisual, museum set up in the Calahorra tower, traces
the history of Cordoba at the time of the great artistic, philosophic
and scientific flourishing that was the Caliphate.
Timetable:
Open 10am-6pm (till 7pm Oct and Mar-Apr); May-Sept, 10am-2pm and
4.30pm-8.30pm.
Archaeological Museum

The museum displays a number of objects found in the area during
digs. The exhibition is tastefully presented and adapted for the
blind.

Casa Museo del Inca Garcilaso
C/ Capitán Alonso de Barcas 3 - Montilla

Garcilaso de la Vega, who the Spanish called the Inca because
he was son of a Conquistador and an Inca princess, lived in this
house from 1561 to 1591 and wrote some of his main books here,
including History of Florida and Royal Commentary.

Municipal Museum
Plaza del Porto s/n - Palma del Río
Housed in the old royal stables, this museum is divided into three
sections: archaeology, ethnology and fine arts.

Open mid-Sept to mid-June, Tues-Sat 5pm-8pm; mid-June to mid-Sept,
Tues-Sat 10am-2pm, Sun and hols 11am-2pm.
Historical Municipal Museum
Carerra de las Monjas 6 - Priego de Córdoba

This museum is set up in the birthplace of the painter Adolfo
Lozano Suarez Sidro (1872-1935) who was also the illustrator of
the review Blanco y Negro. It has archaeological discoveries found
in the region.
