Feria de Sevilla |
|
At least once in your life should travel to Seville to experience the April Fair. It is one of the main fiestas in Spain, where the horse drawn carriages shows, the parades of horses, the Sevilla dances or the musical shows give way every day to the best bullfighting plaza of Real maestranza. It is a time of fiestas; of Andalusian spirit when everywhere you turn you will find an excuse to enjoy the fair and its people. And if during its Fair, Seville is an exposition of joy and colour, during Holy Week silence extends over the city for days of reflection and fervour. It is a great tradition in Seville that a saeta is sung to the various brotherhoods in different parts of the route. It’s not possible to understand how human relations
flow during Feria without considering the wines of Jerez
and Sanlúcar (sherry wines of Jerez). Although
for some the fino and manzanilla wines represent a most
holy duality. In fact they are not what people worship
during the Feria. Sevilla guide |
