Sierra de Lújar. Ascent to Sierra de Lújar.
Granada trekking routes
Time: Four hours.
We shall walk on down the course of the river Castril along the bank.
We shall leave Orgiva town along the road which runs on to Vé,lez
de Benaudalla. At approximately 3 km. there is a junction which we must
take to the right to start walking on up for about one km. Farther on,
there is a track to the left running up Los Castillejos cliff. After reaching
the forest house, we shall walk on up a very steep lane on our right,
leading to La Sierra de Lújar or San José´s mine.
From here, we must take the tracks to the left up to a point where they
stop running up. Then, we shall leave the hillock to make our way on to
our left until reaching the top.
