Cathedral of Pamplona

Worship:daily, from 9:00 to 13:30 and from 18:00 to 20:00.
It was begun by Carlos el Noble in the year 1397 on the site of a 12th century Romanesque building and was finished in 1472. The main altar is presided over by the Virgen del Sagrario, which was the image opposite which the kings were sworn in.
Today's building was built on the ruins of an earlier Romanesque temple, knocked down in the 14th century. This cathedral is divided into three Gothic style naves. The chapels have different styles. The central nave houses the mausoleum of Carlos III el Noble and his wife Doña Leonor. The main front of the cathedral is Neoclassic, while the interior and the cloister, which dates from the 14th century, are Gothic.
