Benacazon
Benacazón is a beautiful village of Seville in the fertile region of the Aljarafe, in which the traveller will find as many hermitages and chapels as he might wish. The route should begin with the hermitage of Gelo, a work of art of Mudejar origin, and then a visit to the ruins of the hermitage of Castilleja de Talhara, whose façade is one if the most interesting of Mudejar Seville, and the chapels of La Soledad, La Veracruz, Cortijo de la Torre de Martín Cerón and the parish church of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves. An ideal time to visit these jewels of religious architecture might be in June when Benacazón decorates its municipal park to welcome beautiful specimens of Andalusia horses that participate each year in the Equestrian Art Exhibition. In August this village holds the fiestas of Las Nieves and if you pass along its streets you should be careful to avoid bumping into the traditional Flaming bull fireworks displays.
