Aznalcollar
Nobody understands then. For years they have
not been able to come to an agreement and this is what adds spice
to the Cruces de Aznalcollar where two brotherhoods have kept
up a stiff rivalry to see which of the two does is better. One
is the Brotherhood of the upper cross and the virgin of rosario,
the other is the brotherhood of the Lower cross and Santa Elena.
All year they deep secret what they plan to do , but what they
both guarantee is the traveller who visits this locality during
these fiestas won’t be disappointed nor will he be if he
visits Aznalcollar on Resurrection Sunday when the residents burn
a judas in order to forget everything bad about the year. Before
leaving visit the torreon de la Dehesa and the chapel of El Cementerio.
