The visitor will find everything in Ayamonte: natural areas, good cuisine, monuments, but he is advised to not under any circumstances miss the Casa Grande, a lordly edifice that houses an important art collection that encompasses the Flemish epoch to the present day.
The Carnival creates such illusions that for moments one thinks
that he is in the Plaza of Saint Mark in Venice. Don’t even
think about passing up the great soiree “Piropo A Mi Pueblo”
or the Holy Week, with its remarkable figures depicting the Holy
Burial, Descent of the Cross and Nuestra Señora del Mayor
Dolor. Later, in spring and summer, this village cheers up with
its pilgrimages, its Corpus fiesta and the fiestas of Nuestra
Señora del Carmen in the tourist neighbourhoods of Isla
canela or the “City of Ayamonte” International Music
Festival in August. The only thing you have to do now is make
a reservation at the tourist Parador Hotel.
