Communications in the province

N-630 road, coincident in most of its route with the legendary Via of the Silver, is the most important of the highways which cross the province of Caceres from north to south, beginning the route in Baños de Montemayor on the north (bordering with Salamanca) and ending in the vicinity of Aljucén, only a few kilometers from Merida, in the lands of Badajoz.

N-521 road circulates from Trujillo to Valencia de Alcántara, in the frontier with Portugal. It has an excellent route, the same as National 630 road.

From Navalmoral de la Mata to the vicinity of Merida, the province of Caceres has the N-V road, transformed into divided highway and which joins Madrid with Lisbon. From this same population, N-511 road connects the capital of Campo Arañuelo with Sierra de Gata, going by Plasencia, Coria and Moraleja and into Portugal.

The rest of the highways in Caceres, regional and even local, are in good state of conservation. Many of them link the different districts with its most important towns and with the capital of the province.

The railroad links the province of Cáceres with Merida and Badajoz on the south and in its route toward the east with Madrid, circulating regional trains and the Talgo train in both senses. All the important towns in Caceres have Bus Stations, from which communications exist with the border autonomous regions and with the most important cities of the Extremadura region
