Lucena Festivals
Lucena has drawn up an ample cultural offering the traveller who visit this region to choose from.
Lucena of the three cultures will attract the attention the traveller who wants to revive the spirit of coexistence and fraternity between different peoples and cultures that enriched the city. The streets of the city will become a genuine medieval market, with craftsmen’s booths, that will serve as the anteroom to the Three Cultures musical concerts, the theatrical productions and the medieval dinner on the parade grounds of the Castillo del Moral , famous for its use as King Boabdil´s prison.
If you want more in July the top national rock and pop figures
appear on the Lucena stage in “Viruta Rock”, while
in the third week of May the International Jazz Festival is held
in the interior of the Castle. If that is not enough in October
you will hear the stories of Jose maría “El Tempranillo”
and other famous bandits in the beautiful suburb of Jauja.
