Museum of Prehistory and Archaeology of Cantabria
The majority of the 1,200 objects displayed in this museum date from the period between the Palaeolithic and the Iron Age.
There are also objects from the Roman period, mostly from Julióbriga and Urdiales Hill-Fort, the ancient Flavióbriga. Of note in the Medieval collection is the ivory belt buckle of St. Mary of Hito.
Opening hours
from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00. Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00. July, August and September from 10 to 14 h. and from 17 to 20 h. Closed on Mondays.
Admission fees
Individual admission: € 1.20. Free at weekends for children below 18, students, pensioners and groups.
