Carrión in the western part of the aljarafe, rest upon a gentle hilltop. It is strange that the hill neither does nor looks as though it were covered with a Manila embroidered silk shawl. Since it was first manufactured by the storied Chinese silk industry the Manila silk shawl has become one of the most popular adornments for women, and nobody embroiders them better than the handicrafts shops of Carrion. Buy one when you visit its fair in September, which is based on that of Seville.
