Pruna

You cannot go to Pruna in a hurry because at any moment the landscape with its changing hues can capture your spirit. The village lies at the base of the El Hierro Castle and is typical of Andalusia villages deep in the mountains. In May a pilgrimage climbs to the hermitage La Pura y Limpia. When the countryside smells of rockrose and thyme and other aromatic herbs that are the base of excellent Aguardiente liquor and with sloe added it is called Pacharán.
