General information
Lugo is located at the border of the river Miño. The city is surrounded
by an old wall like a fortress and has a great Roman heritage.
As the other cities of Galicia, Lugo has many monuments that stand
out like the Cathedral, Archiepiscopal Palace and the City Hall.
Squares and gardens are significant as much as the historic part
of the city where you can have the best of this city gastronomy.
Museo Provincial de Lugo
This museum is located in the convent of San Francisco since 1957.It
houses collections of Religious Art, Pre-roman metalwork, Galician
and Lugo ceramics: Sargadelos. There are also sections dedicated
to Prehistory and archaeology, fine arts etc.
