Formentera Sports
Formentera is the island of the bicycle. Few visitors can resist the temptation of a fleet of bicycles for hire twice as great as the number of inhabitants. For many visitors to Formentera, a bicycle is their only means of transport during their stay.
Besides a network of cycle lanes on the main roads, there exists a circuit verd (green track), which lets cycling tourists tour the principal scenic areas practically without pedalling on asphalt. The old network of country lanes, which penetrates the heart of the island, has found a new use, and is endowed with helpful sign posting.

splendid coastal waters encourage any number of water sports;
the port of La Savina has a wide range of moorings available for
pleasure craft, while in addition the calm waters of the Estany
des Peix are ideal for rowing.
