Navarra information

Olite castle-palace


Olite castle-palace was the former residence of the Kings of Navarre until the union of the kingdom with Castile in the 13th century. Declared a National Monument since 1925. During the 13th-14th centuries underwent alterations, but the most important development came during the times of King Carlos III the Noble. The tour can start in the Palacio Viejo, today a Parador, Santa María Gothic Church, and the Romanesque church of San Pedro, that has a cloister and a Gothic tower topped with a spire.

Opening hours
From 1 October to 31 March: 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00. Sundays and public holidays from 18:30.
From 1 April to 30 September: 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00.
July to August: 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00.
