Time: Two hours.
Pontones has two quarters, Pontón Alto and Pontón Bajo,
this last quarter on the road described at the beginning of our route.
Walking on along this road towards Santiago de la Espada and just when
leaving the town, there is a forest track to our right which leads to
the source of the river Segura. The track runs on upwards and after crossing
several gorges there is Fuente Segura country estate on our right, and
on our left there is a valley worth a walk.
A bit farther we shall arrive at the source of the river Segura, after
a sharp bend where there is a recreational area belonging to the AMA.
