San Silvestre de Guzman
If you want to take part in a hog killing as it was done in years past come to Silvestre de Guzman. In late December this town in huelva observes “Slaughtering Day” when local residents slaughter their hogs to prepare all sorts of chacinas and other pork products. Learn about and sample the tastiest pork delicacies. If you are lucky during the fiesta you will hear pure fandangos, a prelude to the marvellous fiestas that this village celebrates on the last day of the year, but actually the best fandangos are heard in June when san Silvestre de Guzmán hosts the Provincial Fandango Competition.
