Sierra de Aracena. From Santa Ana la Real to its river bank. Huelva trekking routes

Time: One hour.

Leaving Santa Ana town to Alájar along the road, 1.5 km. farther there is a river bank on our right, which leads to several lanes running on along the river.

The course of the river runs initially calm through a thick forest of white poplars and green algae in the water.

Farther on the lane remains smooth while the river abruptly descends among rapids and falls some metres below us. We shall walk on through a gorge whose mountainous walls are thickened by a forest of bushes and rockroses.

Our walking tour ends up when the river comes out of the gorge.
