Riotinto´s mining zone. Zalamea la Real - Campillo - Riotinto´s mines. Huelva trekking routes

Time: Two hours.

Outside Zalamea´s town towards Campofrío, Buitron´s old station can be seen on the right. Walking on along the railway line, we shall cross Campofrío towards Riotinto´s mines. The way of life based on the mine will be the central point of interest of this walking tour.

The route makes its way between Zalamea´s reservoir to the left and the reafforestation of eucalyptus on the right. Thus, we shall arrive at El Campillo town, and after having walked past some houses, we shall make our way to the road towards Riotinto.

Before arriving at the town, to the left, there is a reservoir called El Zumajo.
